Meet Samaritan House/Cafe 458 Interim Executive Director
Dana Inman-Johnson
In 2005, Dana Inman-Johnson joined Samaritan House of Atlanta as the Development and Marketing Manager. Ms. Inman-Johnson has brought the Samaritan House of Atlanta brand to the forefront in the Atlanta market and increased revenue for the agency by successfully securing several large local, state and federal grants for the agency. Ms. Inman-Johnson held this position for 2.5 years before receiving the promotion of Director of Development and Marketing. In this position, Inman-Johnson led the development of agency-wide communications and peripherals to promote the Samaritan House name and image to more donors in charitable support. She also worked with the agency’s Executive Director to raise the $1M agency budget for programs that help homeless men and women achieve self-sufficiency.
In March of 2009, Ms. Inman-Johnson was named Interim Executive Director. In this role, she is responsible for the overall management and development of the agency and its 1.3M budget. Along with serving as an advisor and partner to the Board of Directors, Inman-Johnson is also the Executive Director of the Clean Street Team, Samaritan House sister program, which is a transitional employment and training program.
Prior to joining Samaritan House, Inman-Johnson served as the Senior Policy Associate for Safe Passages in Oakland, CA. Under her leadership, she managed and evaluated two violence prevention strategies and provided technical assistance to non-profit agencies.
Ms. Inman-Johnson is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley. She is a 2010 member of the L.E.A.D. Atlanta Class and a 2008 Chief Development Office Central Participant. Inman-Johnson is also a 2007 Diversity Fellow, an Emerging Leader of the Bank of America Neighborhood Excellence Leadership Program and a graduate of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta Volunteer Involvement Program (V.I.P.).
She is active on the Jean Childs Young Institute for Youth Leadership Board of Directors and a lifetime member of the Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Inc.
Ms. Inman-Johnson lives in Stone Mountain, GA with her husband Charles.
