Meet Samaritan House/Cafe 458 Executive Director
Sherrie Snipes-Williams

Sherrie Snipes-Williams is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization’s $1.8M budget, board development, programming, fundraising and strategic governance.  Ms. Snipes-Williams is also the Executive Director of Samaritan House’s sister program, the Clean Street Team, a transitional employment and training program.

Prior to joining Samaritan House/Café 458, Ms. Snipes-Williams had a successful career of over 10 years with other Atlanta non-profits, including Hands On Atlanta, where she was the Co-Managing Director and CityCares, where she was the Chief Operating Officer. She also served as the Deputy Director for City Year in both Columbia, SC and San Antonio, TX.

Ms. Snipes-Williams is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She is a Leadership Atlanta Alumni and was honored as a 2002 Outstanding Atlantan. Ms. Snipes-Williams is also a graduate of Leadership South Carolina and the National Service Leadership Institute’s Executive Director Training Program. 

She is active on the Boards of the Atlanta Women’s Foundation, Progressive Redevelopment, Inc. and is the Board Chair of the Center for Working Families, Inc. through the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Currently, she is participating in the Georgia Center for Nonprofit’s CEO Central 60 initiative, which is an executive-level leadership program that addresses the everyday complexities of nonprofit leadership. She formerly served on the Boards of TechBridge and Travelers Aid. Ms. Snipes-Williams and her husband Kevin and daughter Serra live in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood.
